May 28, 10... Starting to make plans for, either finding a distributor or making an attempt at self-distribution, at least for a while. We have been doing research on self distribution. This would involve going to theaters and working a deal to show our movie as we did at the Crossroads. It seems that the message from most people in the biz, "you've got to show the movie on a weekend", so that's what we're working on. DVD's are now available for cast and crew members. We are in the planning stage for the next movie. We will be shooting by late summer or early fall. Plan is to use the Canon 7d and the Canon 1d Mark IV. We did some tests with these cameras and the image is far better, in my opinion, than the images of our past movies. "Romance at Frisky's Bar" still has a waiting list of 6 months on Netflix. We are re-editing that movie. That's all ya'll for now.

May 1, 10... Now what? After recharging our battery, we will be generating a plan for either finding a distributor or self distribution. It is a process that requires knocking on doors and getting someone to answer. The DVD's are here. Many have already gotten their copy. It will be several months before they are available on line. Stay tuned.

April 23rd, 10... The 3-night screening was a success. The confidential scores for all three nights were, 4.1, 4.1, and 4.0 out of a possible 5.0. More than 260 people saw the movie. The purchase of DVD's after the movie suggested that people also enjoyed the movie. The DVD's for cast are due to arrive on Tuesday, April 27th. There was a flaw in the cover which is being corrected. Now onward to find a distributor. Thanks for all the help. We're tired, hoping for a normal night's sleep for a change.

April 22nd, 10... Two nights down, one to go. Good response from the movie-goers. Over 200 people have viewed the movie and the average rating has been 4.1 (out of 5) over the two nights. Check it out, Grand Cinema 6, Crossroads 7PM.

April 17th, 12...Successful night on Thursday at the "Reck and Ima" screening. Big crowd and the ratings on "secret ballot" averaged 4.2 out of 5. Thanks to all the cast and crew who helped make it possible. Two more nights at the Grand Cinema Crossroads: Wed. April 21st and Thurs. 22nd, 7PM. See ya'll there..

March 27th, 10... Sleep deprived. One "all-nighter". Nervous and edgy. Just Fed Ex'ed the movie to NY this AM for DVD replication, art work, etc.. Hoping to have it back before first screening. It will be a close call. Now onward to work on the screenings. Will try to get the trailer on site soon. That's all, ya'll, for now.

March 17th,10... We continue to edit. Can't seem to leave it alone. The movie is now 83 minutes and seems better, moves quicker, etc.. We are going to add one line to the beginning of the movie. Based on feedback, it is needed. We spent the last week at SXSW promoting the movie, learnin', and tryin' to get some feedback, etc. SXSW is the best festival and they have free refreshments. We have added another night for the screening. There will be three screenings at the Crossroads (Swan and Grant), April 15th at 7:00, AM, no make that PM, April 21st (Wednesday) and April 22nd. Working hard on the DVD hoping to have it available. Later.

March 5, 10... With time, it's easier to see areas that need to be cut to make the story "move", so we've been cutting less than interesting parts and adding a few parts. The story seems better. The movie is now 84 minutes in length and that's the final length. We have gone from 117 minutes to 84 minutes. Presently we are working on the DVD cover and the DVD, hoping to have it finished before the screenings in April. That's all ya'll, for now.

February 20th, 10... We have the movie, "Reck and Ima" booked for a two-night screening in April at the Grand Cinema Crossroads in Tucson (Swan and Grant). The first showing will be Thursday, April 15th at 7:00 pm and the second showing Thursday, April 22nd at 7:00 pm. More to come. We are still waiting on festival news. Stay tuned.

Februrary 11th, 10... We have just finished a new trailer which tells more about the "story" and less about the "goofiness" of the movie. (People were puzzled about what the movie was about.) We hope to have it on the website within a few weeks. Stay tuned. We recently watched the movie, after a 2-month hiatus, and decided it needed more editing. We cut two more minutes, and now it seems tight and "clean", and easier to watch. (Hopefully in two more months we won't decide we need to cut two more minutes.) The movie is now 87 minutes 50 seconds, just right. We are also starting to plan for the Tucson screening which will probably be in April, hopefully. We are talking to theaters. Stay tuned. We are working hard planning for the next movie. Stay tuned.

January 17th, 10... 'Reck and Ima' continues to sit on the hard-drive. We are waiting to hear from the film festivals. Romance at Frisky's has a five-month wait on Netflix. They need more disks. We are writing the next screenplay hoping to start shooting in the summer or early fall. We will probably change cameras, maybe the new Canon 7d. The 7d clips on the internet look very nice. Happy trails...

Happy bird day... 'Reck and Ima the movie', has now been sitting silently on a hard drive for two weeks. 'Romance at Frisky's Bar, an unromantic comedy' our first movie will be played December 13th and 20th at 7:00 PM at Beowulf Alley Theatre in Tucson. Presently there is a 3-month plus wait to rent this movie on Netflix. Please help get the word out. Happy Trails...

November 13th, 2009... The process of adding cast and crew to IMDB is time consuming and not a quick process. More than half of the submissions entered at this point have been rejected which means they have to be re-submitted with corrections, etc. and the process takes 10 to 20 days. Errors may be published. That is, you may be the "boom operator" and show up as the "editor". All cast and crew will be correctly entered (hopefully) by Jan 1, 2010 for "Reck and Ima" and "Romance at Frisky's Bar". (It's time for this flick to be put "in the can" forever 'cause I'm tired. It has been 17 months of production and post-production.) Happy days...

November 12th, 2009... Reck and Ima was added to IMDB after application to the festivals. There were some errors with the application process and a lot of the info was rejected. I will re-submit and make adjustments. It takes about 10 days for info to show up on the site. Also another cast member added "Romance at Frisky's Bar". I will also add other names, etc.. Happy trails...

November 11th, 2009... The movie is complete. No more edits. We have submitted to six film festivals. Reck and Ima were in LA this past weekend to attend the AFM (American Film Market). We were there to 'pitch' the movie in the "People's Choice" 'pitch' contest. The camera-man (a cool dude) laughed through much of the pitch and since it is a comedy, we concluded that couldn't be bad. Also there pitching a movie, was our own Professor Puntman. Sounds like a good flick. We have begun working on our next project. Stay tuned.
